Parent and Child Group

Parent and child group
The Baby Sanctum Group is a gentle and nurturing parent and child group where you find the focus to be on you, the parent. It recognises how difficult parenthood can be and offers a safe, non-judgemental supportive space to gather together. You will find a holistic experience where healthy social, emotional, physical and nutritional approaches are shared.
Our facilitator is a mum and teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. She has recently completed a two day workshop in the Aware Parenting Approach and will be able to share gentle parenting resources to support you on your parenting journey.
We are inspired by alternative educational practices and believe that children’s development flourishes in a calm, peaceful, predictable, familiar and unhurried environment.
Each session follows the same rhythm: The children begin with some free play whilst you are invited to explore different materials and partake in the enjoyment of creating something with your hands through our seasonal craft activity for the parents. We encourage parents to allow (where possible) child-initiated and self-directed play while we do our crafts. Of course your little one is welcome to hop on your lap and join in too! This is followed by seasonal songs and a healthy, organic snack for the children. We conclude the session with a seasonal puppet show.
We run every Friday during term time from 2pm to 4pm in Battersea, London.
